Job summary

Castle Buick-GMC, North Riverside, is seeking a Technician (Union) to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engines, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You will test-drive cars and use diagnostic tools to identify issues and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires active ASE certification (A-level), strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and a clean driving record. Union benefits and competitive hourly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified or master technician with ASE certification (A-level).
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As aTechnician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Previous experience as a certified or master technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• ASE Certification required with A-level qualifications
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Tech union compensation: $22- $57.65 per hour
