Job summary

Castle Buick-GMC is seeking a Union Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles at our North Riverside dealership. You will handle engine, transmission, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes and A/C, focusing on safety and customer satisfaction.

Join a team that values hands-on expertise, strong mechanical aptitude, and teamwork. ASE certification is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required for reliability and safety on test drives.

Qualifications

• Certified or master technician experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• ASE Certification required with A-level qualifications
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As aTechnician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Previous experience as a certified or master technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• ASE Certification required with A-level qualifications
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Tech union compensation: $22- $57.65 per hour
