Job summary

Waste Management in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Training Coordinator/Trainer to deliver and coach designated training curricula, assess performance, and complete final evaluations to determine participant ratings. The role also conducts train-the-trainer sessions for new Level 1 Driver Trainers and runs TTT sessions for new or updated courses at the Training Center.

Ideal candidates will provide ongoing training, mentoring to Trainer I's, and maintain knowledge of training procedures via

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher; or a high school diploma/GED with two years of work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience in trucking and 1 year of training experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers curricula and coaches trainees, assessing performance and conducting final evaluations.

Job description

I. Job Summary

Delivers, assesses and coaches the designated training curricula according to the needs of the organization as determined by the leadership and training teams. Completes the final evaluation and conducts the final coaching session to determine participants performance rating. Conducts and mentors the train-the-trainer process for new Level 1 Driver Trainers. Conducts TTT sessions for new or updated courses at the Training Center.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Models professional behavior at all times and continually communicates behavioral expectations to trainees.

Reports schedule, participant attendance, and evaluations to the Training Coordinator in order to maintain accurate training participation records.

Delivers curricula demonstrating mastery of material and utilizing adult and accelerated learning techniques.

Uses observation and feedback to asses, coach and improve trainee performance during classroom and course exercises.

Provides feedback from classroom and course activities for final trainee evaluations. Completes final evaluations and conducts final coaching session with trainees at the completion of training

Maintain communication with Area field operations leadership regarding trainee issues and performance.

Provides ongoing training and mentoring to Trainer I's at training center.

Maintains knowledge of training or company procedures through reading and interpreting general business periodicals and professional journals.

Communicates with other driver trainers and managers about operations, participant issues, and training needs to perform job.

Performs other duties as assigned.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of work experience.
• 1 year of previous driving experience in the trucking industry and
• 1 year of training experience (in addition to education requirement).
