Job summary

WM is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver and assess designated training curricula at our Training Center. You will coach participants, conduct final evaluations, and lead train-the-trainer activities for Level 1 Driver Trainers.

Responsibilities include maintaining attendance records, providing feedback for evaluations, and mentoring Trainer I staff while staying current with training procedures and company standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree.
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of work experience.
• 1 year of previous driving experience in the trucking industry and
• 1 year of training experience (in addition to education requirement).

Responsibilities

• Models professional behavior and communicates behavioral expectations to trainees.
• Reports schedule, attendance, and evaluations to the Training Coordinator.
• Delivers curricula demonstrating mastery using adult and accelerated learning techniques.
• Uses observation and feedback to assess, coach and improve trainee performance.
• Provides feedback for final trainee evaluations and conducts final coaching sessions.
• Maintains communication with area leadership regarding trainee issues and performance.
• Provides ongoing training and mentoring to Trainer I’s at the training center.
• Keeps knowledge of training and company procedures through reading professional journals.
• Communicates with other trainer staff about operations, participant issues, and training needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
