Job summary

Bally's is seeking a Slot Technician in Chicago to safeguard and repair slot machines, install and move equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on schedules. The role requires a gaming license, a high school diploma, and at least two years in a casino slot or related repair environment.

The position involves working on the gaming floor and in warehouse settings, with potential exposure to bright lights, noise, and physical demands.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a casino Slot Technician or in a related electronic repair role.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers and software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have a baseline knowledge of casino gaming rules and regulations (Illinois preferred).
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to display excellent customer service on the floor and work well with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard, maintain, repair, and monitor all slot machines on and off the floor.
• Perform slot machine installations, conversions, moves and removals.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all slot machines.
• Assist in maintaining slot equipment inventory.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair player tracking equipment.
• Perform routine audits of slot machine settings and in-house options.
• Work in casino and off-site warehouse environments.

Job description

• Safeguard, maintain, repair, and monitor all slot machines as needed, both on and off the floor.
• Perform scheduled slot machine installations, conversions, moves, and removals as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all slot machines, active and inactive.
• Assist in maintaining slot equipment inventory.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair player tracking equipment to ensure guest satisfaction and proper game reporting.
• Perform routine audits of the slot machine settings and in-house options as needed and assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

• Target Rate: $23.20/hour

Additional Benefits:

• $7 Daily Employee Parking

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds and occasionally required to move up to 500 pounds with assistance
• Frequently required to push, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and twist, as well as reach overhead
• Requires manual dexterity to conduct repairs on slot machines

The work environment for a Slot Technician includes both casino and off-site warehouse settings. This role may involve exposure to bright and flashing lights, elevated noise levels, dust, airborne allergens, and other environmental factors. Technicians must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging or high-pressure situations professionally.

Must have a working knowledge of computers and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must have a base-line knowledge of casino gaming rules and regulations. Illinois specifically preferred but not required

Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must have the ability to display excellent customer service skills while on the floor, and ability to work well with other departments as a team.
