Job summary

Bally's Baton Rouge is seeking a Slot Machine Technician to perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues, replace faulty parts, and test machines to ensure proper operation.

Qualifed applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and 10-key experience. Ability to obtain a state Gaming License and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Gaming License.
• Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
• Must be able to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays.
• Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, preferably in Excel.
• Must have 10-key experience.
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical components.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in troubleshooting and repairing slot machines, preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED, required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on slot machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems with slot machines.
• Replace faulty parts and components as needed.
• Test machines to ensure they are functioning properly.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Communicate with other members of the casino staff to ensure that all machines are functioning properly.
• Provide excellent customer service to casino patrons.
• Handle routine guest complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL EFFORTS:

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoor under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Occasional: standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
• Frequent: sitting, with repetitive movement of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Speech and Vision abilities are required.
  
• Target Hourly Rate: $17.21 per hour
