Job summary

Spartan Emergency Response is seeking a qualified individual to join the QRT team to fix non-conformities, complete complex troubleshooting, and ensure quality before final shipment. The role involves electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagnostics, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering and shop teams.

Responsibilities include documenting defects, leading rework efforts, and meeting production goals while maintaining a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be detailed orientated.
• Ability to read and understand truck specification documents.
• Ability to communicate and understand in English.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve complex manufacturing problems.
• Install missing components or replace defective components as needed.
• Eliminate any potential defects, based on write-ups and self-inspection.
• Perform advanced electrical, plumbing, or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Assess and perform mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Eliminate any potential defects based on write-ups and self-inspection.
• Assist with major reworks and projects.
• Document and report defects to Quality.
• Lead resolution of electrical defects and reworks.
• Interact with engineering on current manufacturing issues.
• Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintain documentation for shop floor applications.
• Perform function tests.
• Lead quality, cost, and productivity improvement efforts.
• Support manufacturing and OEM service.
• Perform rework, as needed.
• Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Complete final torque verification, fluid top-off, weatherproofing.
• Maneuver fire trucks around the facility.
• Self-check work and inspect prior processes.
• Meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Initiate process improvements when able.
• Work in close proximity to customer, as needed.
• Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job.
• Assist other team members and departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
