Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. seeks a Technician, Repair- Cleaner to detail and clean rental instruments and prepare them for return to stock in refurbishment for woodwind and percussion.

You will detail instruments to production standards, submit daily production reports, and report QC rejects. When not detailing, you may assist with warehouse tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience required.
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repair.
• Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Duty or Responsibility:

• Responsible for detailing and cleaning quality instruments in a timely matter based on established production standards.
• Responsible for turning in accurate production reports on a daily basis
• Responsible for reporting QC rejects on a daily basis
• Responsible for performing general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not in operating in a detailer capacity.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
