Job summary

Guitar Center Stores, Inc. seeks a Technician, Repair- Cleaner in Houston to detail and clean rental instruments and prepare them for stock in refurbishment for woodwind and percussion. You will follow production standards and report daily on output.

Entry-level position with required repair-school apprenticeship or diploma and basic English proficiency. You will use basic tools and MS Office to document tasks and assist in warehousing when not detailing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience required
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repair
• Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Detail and clean quality instruments in a timely manner based on production standards.
• Turn in accurate production reports daily.
• Report QC rejects daily.
• Perform general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not detailing.
• Additional duties as assigned.

The purpose of this job is to serve as a detailer and to clean rental instruments and prepare them to return to stock in the refurbishment process for woodwind and percussion instruments.

Duty or Responsibility:

• Responsible for detailing and cleaning quality instruments in a timely matter based on established production standards.
• Responsible for turning in accurate production reports on a daily basis
• Responsible for reporting QC rejects on a daily basis
• Responsible for performing general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not in operating in a detailer capacity.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience required
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repair
