Job summary

Guitar Center Stores, Inc. is seeking a Technician, Repair- Cleaner to detail and clean rental instruments and prepare them for stock refurbishment for woodwind and percussion. You will ensure instruments meet quality standards and report daily production and QC results.

The role is entry level with training on repair shop tools and MS Office, requiring English proficiency and adherence to safety and workflow processes. This is a hands-on warehouse position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school required.
• Must read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience.
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools for instrument cleaning/repair.
• Novice proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Detail and clean quality instruments in a timely manner per standards.
• Turn in accurate daily production reports.
• Report QC rejects daily.
• Perform general warehousing and distribution tasks when not detailing.
• Additional duties as assigned.

The purpose of this job is to serve as a detailer and to clean rental instruments and prepare them to return to stock in the refurbishment process for woodwind and percussion instruments.

Duty or Responsibility:

• Responsible for detailing and cleaning quality instruments in a timely matter based on established production standards.
• Responsible for turning in accurate production reports on a daily basis
• Responsible for reporting QC rejects on a daily basis
• Responsible for performing general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not in operating in a detailer capacity.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience required
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repair
• Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
