Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Raw Material Quality Control Technician in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will maintain and conduct raw material sampling and analyses, enter results, report deviations, and align specifications to ensure safe, reliable products that meet internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities include RM testing, laboratory analyses, data entry, and ensuring quality standards with GMP and safety adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control.
  • Fluency in local language required; other languages encouraged.
  • Analytical thinking with data interpretation.

  • Independent, efficient organization and processing of quality control analyses in the laboratory.
  • Confident mastery of routine analyses, including preparation and documentation according to specifications.
  • Plausibility checks of all generated analysis results and accuracy checks of the measured data.
  • Accurate entry of results into defined systems.
  • Reporting and processing all quality-relevant deviations (deviations, OOS) per protocols.
  • Responsible for laboratory equipment calibration and basic maintenance per GMP.
  • Adhere to deadlines and ensure timely transmission of results.
  • Conduct first laboratory test for OOS results per execution documentation.
  • Work in compliance with SHE specifications.
  • Analyze special or custom samples to solve problems in lab and production.
  • Procure laboratory consumables; manage QC stock to prevent shortages.
  • Identify common issues and escalate to superior or relevant stakeholders.

Job Title: Technician, Quality Control

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

The Raw Material Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintaining and conducting raw material sampling and analyses, results entry and reporting, and processing of quality related deviations, with execution of specification alignment, to help ensure that the products manufactured are safe, reliable, and meet both internal and external requirements, promoting customer satisfaction and trust in the business.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support Raw Material specification alignment into system and conduct RM testing to ensure compliance
  • Independent, efficient organization and processing of quality control analyses in the laboratory
  • Confident mastery of all routine analyses, including preparation, performing and completion of necessary documentation according to specifications
  • Plausibility checks of all generated analysis results and accuracy checks of the measured and documented results
  • Accurate entry of results into defined systems.
  • Reporting and processing all quality-relevant deviations (deviations, OOS) according to protocols, including notification to procurement
  • Responsibility for defined laboratory and analytical equipment, including calibration and basic maintenance, in compliance with GMP guidelines and safety criteria
  • Compliance to KPI’s by adhering to deadlines (analysis duration, transmission of approved results)
  • Conducting the first laboratory test for OOS results in compliance with the relevant execution documentation
  • Working in compliance with SHE specifications
  • Analysis of special or custom samples to solve problems in the laboratory and in production
  • Procurement of laboratory and consumable materials in accordance with financial competence
  • Manage and purchase stock of QC lab supplies & reagents as well as ensuring the absence of shortage
  • Identify common problems/issues encountered and perform escalation process to superior or relevant stakeholders.

You Bring

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. The hourly pay rate is $21.00-$29.00.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
