Job summary

dsm-firmenich is hiring a Plant Maintenance and Reliability Manager in Rincon, GA. You will lead day-to-day maintenance, asset care, and reliability initiatives to keep the refinery safe, efficient, and compliant with QHSE standards.

You will oversee PM planning, reliability tools, and capital project delivery, while managing budgets and coordinating with the broader DSM network. A technical degree and PSM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical discipline preferred, but not required.
  • Preference for experience working in a PSM environment.
  • Hands-on results oriented with ability to work in a team.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high site reliability at lowest cost using Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts.
  • Provide daily leadership to maintenance and instrumentation teams; plan and schedule PM tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and safety culture during maintenance work.
  • Implement reliability tools (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, root cause).
  • Manage outside contractors during shutdowns and oversee MRO inventories.
  • Develop and implement capital projects; control OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Maintenance and Projects.

Plant Maintenance and Reliability Manager

Location: Rincon, GA, US

On-Site

The plnat Maintenance and Reliability Manager is responsible for managing the day‑day maintenance and asset management activities to ensure the distillation refinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably. Manage the maintenance budget to keep alignment with site KPI’s and evolve the SAP PM program. Manage the Capital Investment plant portfolio aligned with Sr. Plant Manager and with the global PMO.

Your key responsibility
  • Responsible for site asset care as it relates to ensuring high reliability at the lowest cost through the implementation of world class Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.
  • Provide daily leadership to maintenance technicians and site instrumentation technicians. Ensures implementation of weekly work plan into Maintenance schedule with required PM tasks and corrective measures, assign resources and ensure manpower is properly utilized.
  • Guarantee and foster compliance with QHSE policies for all maintenance personnel. Establish safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health prevention during maintenance activities. Contribute to plant cleanliness.
  • Responsible for implementation of reliability tools including vibration, thermography, oil analysis, and failure root cause analysis. Implement and maintain asset lubrication program and laser alignment. Ensure equipment repairs are made in a timely manner as well as keeping good housekeeping procedures and practices, and trouble‑shooting assistance.
  • Investigate and implement predictive maintenance technologies to improve reliability. Provide input into the selection of new equipment and instrumentation to Process Engineering.
  • Manage outside contractors working as maintenance support during shutdowns. Manage MRO supplies inventory. Development and implementation of capital projects for the site. Control OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Maintenance and Projects. Collaborate with other plants of the Ingredient’s network to report and share best practices through periodic reports of pre-defined KPIs.

You bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical discipline preferred, but not required
  • Preference for experience working in a PSM environment.
  • Hands‑on results oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate and understand computer‑controlled process equipment and programs that are used in process control.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Knowledge of production documentation system, production control
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm‑firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary range: $132,000-$145,000.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
