PepsiCo Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine quality tests, verify product and packaging specs, and record results to support continuous improvement.

You will lift 20–45 lb repeatedly, stand and walk most of your shift, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, compliant operations. Starting pay is $30.50 per hour with full benefits. On-the-job training provided; PepsiCo is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine quality tests and use testing instruments to verify product and package specifications.
• Pull product samples during production to confirm standards (quality, labeling, freshness dating, fill levels, container integrity).
• Record test results and maintain daily quality documentation, communicating needed adjustments to help eliminate irregularities.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas during and after shift, following process guidelines and good housekeeping practices.
• Expedite quality concerns to management and partner with production and maintenance teams to support efficient, compliant operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine quality tests and use testing instruments to verify product and package specifications
• Pull product and packaging samples during production to confirm standards (e.g., quality, labeling, freshness dating, fill levels, and container integrity)
• Record test results and maintain daily quality documentation, communicating needed adjustments to help eliminate irregularities
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas during and after shift, following process guidelines and good housekeeping practices
• Expedite quality concerns to management and partner with production and maintenance teams to support efficient, compliant operations

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Position requires lifting/carrying cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over 10-12 hour periods (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires continuous standing and walking, manipulating and handling product samples while sitting (with or without accommodation)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audit compliance and food safety, testing instruments and standard operating procedures
• Experience with mechanical systems including but not limited to cooling/ammonia systems and water treatment systems
• Experience with product changeovers and equipment calibration
