PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wichita, KS, to keep production lines running by maintaining and repairing advanced equipment for PepsiCo brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina. The role starts early shift (6:00 AM) and ends at 2:30 PM, with a 7 days on/2 off cycle for two weeks followed by 7 on/3 off in the third week.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and complete complex repairs to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications

• Must pass a technical assessment addressing maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with electrical systems, manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting.
• Must read, write and speak English due to safety sensitivity.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on advanced production/manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to restore safe operation.
• Breakdown analysis and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support changeovers and upgrades with new technology.
• Coordinate outside contractors on assigned lines as needed.
• Enforce GMP, safety and audit standards and maintain housekeeping.
• Document work schedules and tasks and coordinate with operators and quality teams.

Quick Look

• Pay: $27.45 per hour

• Location: Wichita, KS

• Work Days: Ongoing schedule of 7 days on/2 days off for two weeks, then on third week 7 days on/3 days off

• Start Time: 6:00 AM

• End Time: 2:30 PM

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on advanced production/manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete more complex repairs or adjustments to restore safe operation
• Conduct breakdown analysis and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to resolve recurring issues
• Support package changeovers and equipment upgrades using new or upgraded technology
• Coordinate and direct outside contractors working on assigned lines, as needed
• Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards while maintaining general housekeeping in the work area
• Document work schedules and tasks completed and partner with operators and quality teams to drive efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
• Experience with electrical systems, product manuals and mechanical drawings, schematics, and troubleshooting breakdowns
• Must be able to sufficiently read, write and speak English due to safety sensitivity of this role
• Position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals
• Position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling (with or without accommodation)

Helpful Experience

• Experience with predictive maintenance methods, including vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and thermography.
• Experience with mechanical systems including but not limited to: compressors/ammonia systems, conveyers and airveyors, and hydraulics
• Experience with electronics, gearing, kinematics, and PLC
• Experience with packaging/high speed production
