Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Marysville, Ohio is seeking an hourly lab technician who will gather and prepare samples for analysis, perform spectrophotometric, chromatographic, and wet chemistry techniques, and record results in SAP for product release. The role includes daily calibration and maintenance of lab instruments, plus 5S housekeeping and data management.

Compensation starts at $29.40 per hour with weekly pay, and the company offers medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) match up to 7.5%,

This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $29.40 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

In this role you will:

• Gather and prepare samples for chemical analysis.
• Analyze samples via spectrophotometric, chromatographic, and wet chemistry techniques.
• Record laboratory information in SAP for product release.
• Report results to operations.
• Perform daily calibration and preventive maintenance on lab instruments.
• Complete housekeeping and 5S tasks.

• Complete special projects and reports as assigned.
