Position Details
  • Title: Production Technician/Part-Time
  • Reports To: Director of IT & Production Manager
  • Location: KFOR-TV/KAUT-T
  • Date: 4/16/2025
Principal Functions
  • Handle the pressure of a chaotic control room environment.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and be available for call-ins during breaking news or severe weather events.
  • Collaborate closely with the newscast director and team to produce fast-paced, high-quality, mistake-free newscasts.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs and climb ladders to change studio lighting.
  • Set up and move various studio sets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of shot composition, lighting, and studio sets.
  • Adaptability to changing workflows.
  • Knowledge of audio operations, camera robotics, prompters, show coding, and execution.
