JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This role involves assisting licensed pharmacists with drug preparation, distribution, and inventory management while ensuring the maintenance of accurate records.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Arkansas is required, and the company is willing to train candidates with a desire to learn.
This position works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists and assists the pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining drug inventories and maintenance of records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills required to interact with patients, coworkers and other health care professionals. They will exhibit the ability to solve problems, prioritize work in a high volume environment, and adapt to changes to workload and schedule to meet patient needs. The operation of equipment required to perform pharmacy department tasks, work with numerous and constant interruptions and perform independently, while handling stressful situations with efficiency and composure is a must.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred; willing to train individual with initiative and desire to learn.
Certifications: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arkansas required or must apply and submit application for registration prior to date of hire, and obtain registration within thirty (30) days from acceptance of job offer. To be eligible for this registration through the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy, an individual must: possess a high school diploma or GED, have good moral character and temperance and habits, pass a state and federal background check, complete and submit application for pharmacy technician registration and pay appropriate fee to the Board.
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
