Job summary

The Pharmacy Tech will assemble and distribute pharmaceuticals, maintain records, and assist in the technical aspects of the Jefferson Regional Pharmacy Department in Pine Bluff, AR.

Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, duties include preparation, documentation, and potential sterile admixtures after training; strong teamwork and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• A spirit of teamwork and an amiable demeanor.
• Excellent problem solving, decision making and logical thinking skills.
• Demonstrate an attitude of professionalism and excellence.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Preferred: history of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

• Hours are variable depending on department needs. Shifts include Mornings, Afternoons, Weekends, Holidays, and Nights.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Pharmacy Department

Under the direction of and subject to verification by a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Tech will assemble and distribute pharmaceuticals, maintain records, and assist in the technical aspects of the pharmacy. Upon completion of specialized training, may compound sterile admixtures.
