Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Atlanta, Georgia.

Compensation and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $34.50 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 each quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, First Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines, including preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs
  • Four or more years of relevant experience preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred
  • All required certifications by location
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks
  • Advanced analytical and repair skills
  • Effective communication
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call duties
  • Preferred ASE certifications in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics, or Master Mechanic
  • Proficiency with shop computers and diagnostic equipment
  • Minimum tool requirements
  • Ability to road test vehicles
  • Mentoring and coaching skills
Driving Requirements
  • Must obtain CDL within 6 months
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks
Responsibilities
  • Complete OEM diagnostic courses
  • Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive and complex repairs
  • Utilize maintenance documentation and diagnostic tools
  • Assist roadside breakdowns remotely
  • Perform facility maintenance
  • Interact with customers and drivers
  • Mentor other technicians
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
