Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking motivated individuals to join our team and travel from our Kingston, GA to respond to service calls at power generation plants throughout the region. No prior experience is necessary—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

This is a long-term career opportunity with room for advancement. Qualified individuals may have the opportunity to become licensed explosives blasters through our internal training and certification programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
  • No felony or family violence convictions.
  • No DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Ability to lift 90 pounds and work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to power generation sites as needed.
  • Train and operate safely with explosive materials to perform boiler cleaning.
  • Work in challenging outdoor and industrial environments.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and procedures at all times.

About the Position

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking motivated individuals to join our team and travel from our Kingston, GA to respond to service calls at power generation plants throughout the region. This role involves hands‑on training to de‑slag large utility boilers using controlled explosives. No prior experience is necessary—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
