Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group seeks motivated individuals to travel from Kingston, GA to respond to service calls at power generation plants. No prior experience is necessary; hands-on training will de-slag large utility boilers using controlled explosives.

This long-term career offers room for advancement, potential to become licensed blasters through internal programs, and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• No felony or family violence convictions.
• No DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
• Ability to lift 90 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and residence within an hour of our office.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7.
• Must complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to work outside in challenging conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, scale stairs and traverse confined spaces.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Train and operate safely with explosive materials to perform boiler cleaning.
• Work in challenging outdoor and industrial environments.
