Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician III-Shop in Bryan, TX to maintain and repair diesel equipment in our shop with occasional field work. Pay depends on experience, paid weekly, typical schedule Monday–Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, overtime eligible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diesel mechanic experience, with rental equipment background preferred.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Repairs on diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Owns tools valued at $5,000+
• Inspects, services, and tests equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Performs routine service and lubrication.
• Welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Maintains maintenance and repair records.
• Team-player and self-starter; opportunities for growth.

Technician III-Shop

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible) Pay Range: Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus Location: This role will be based in our shop in Bryan, TX with the occasional need to maintenance or repair equipment in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum 3+ years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
