Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc in Mount Holly Springs is seeking a test technician to support automated testing of electronic products. You will read process docs, interpret test data, operate multimeters and automated test systems, and perform basic surface-mount soldering.

Training on first shift may be required before transitioning to second shift. Requirements include at least 2 years in electronic or product testing, detail-oriented approach, good communication, and a HS diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic or product testing.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate degree in technical field.

Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform automated testing.
• Interpret basic test data to determine pass/fail results.
• Operate basic test equipment (multimeter) and automated test systems.
• Basic soldering of surface mount components.

Essential Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing
• Interpret basic test data to determine pass / fail test results
• Operate basic test equipment (multi meter) and automated test systems
• Basic soldering of surface mount components
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic or product testing
• Quality and safety minded
• Detail-oriented and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic PC skills, math skills, and product knowledge
• Basic electronic / electrical knowledge or understanding
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Preferred: Associates degree in technical field

Schedule: M-F, 3:30pm-12am

Please note: This position may require training on 1st shift prior to transitioning to 2nd shift. Once assigned to 2nd shift, employees will receive a 10% shift differential.
