Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Mount Holly Springs, PA, is seeking motivated students pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field to join us as an Electronics Technician Intern.

This hands-on role focuses on electrical testing and high-precision manufacturing within a leading technology company. On-the-job training will be provided; you will work with standard test equipment, read process documentation, and determine pass/fail results.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Basic knowledge of electronic and electrical principles
• Quality- and safety-minded
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic PC and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret process documentation to perform automated and manual electronic testing
• Interpret basic test data and determine pass/fail results
• Operate standard electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeter) and automated test systems
• Perform basic soldering of surface-mount components
• Maintain quality and safety standards in all tasks
• Support team objectives and perform other duties as assigned
