Job summary

Sealed Air, a global packaging solutions leader, is seeking a Morning shift Maintenance Technician in Simpsonville, SC. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems across facilities and equipment, with hands-on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance responsibilities.

You will diagnose and repair components across cooling towers, HVAC, pumps, and automation such as drives and PLCs, ensuring continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred. Relevant military training may be considered in lieu of a degree in Mechanical or Electronics Technology.
• 2-4 years industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs facilities building and machinery electrical systems, mechanical systems and electronic components.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance activities in support of facilities equipment (cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC, industrial chillers, water treatment, core cutting, docks, doors, lighting, plumbing, etc.).
• Troubleshoot machines and equipment breakdowns to diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems.
• Disassemble and reassemble machines assemblies and sub-assemblies to perform repairs
• Replace broken or defective machine and equipment parts
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices.
• Diagnose, repair and replace faulty electronic components such drives and PLCs
• Back fill for steam plant operations, distillation operations and Die Shop to insure continuous operations
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
