Job summary

Sealed Air in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair building and machinery electrical, mechanical and electronic systems. This role supports facilities operations across cooling towers, HVAC, pumps and packaging equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years industrial maintenance experience, an Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field, and are prepared to maintain uptime in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Relevant military training may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs facilities building and machinery electrical systems, mechanical systems and electronic components.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance activities in support of facilities equipment (cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC, industrial chillers, water treatment, core cutting, docks, doors, lighting, plumbing, etc.).
• Troubleshoot machines and equipment breakdowns to diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems.
• Disassemble and reassemble machine assemblies and sub-assemblies to perform repairs
• Replace broken or defective machine and equipment parts
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices.
• Diagnose, repair and replace faulty electronic components such as drives and PLCs
• Back fill for steam plant operations, distillation operations and Die Shop to insure continuous operations
• Other duties as assigned
