Required Responsibilities
- Act as a safety partner by intervening when unsafe acts are practiced. Promote and demonstrate safe behavior and practices. Assist Site and QSE management in determining RCAs and corrective actions for investigations.
- Complete all safety training assigned. Serve as a resource for junior technicians.
- Utilize all PPE as required by Work Instructions and QSE Manual. Provide feedback on discrepancies in Work Instructions or PPE sheets.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including developing best practices.
- Build and maintain effective internal partnerships. Refer complex issues or customer inquiries to higher-level technical staff or management, demonstrating good customer focus.
- Input all required data accurately through MyTime, MyTask, and related systems.
- Use online tools (e.g., Toolkit, SAP, VOB, VGA, VIS, VTM).
- Understand and monitor dashboard metrics impacting site operations.
- Navigate and utilize Insite Toolbox.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and mentorship.
- Follow Work Instructions and suggest improvements as needed.
- Manage TSL and CIR entries and follow-ups.
- Support specialty jobs like crane work or CIM projects.
- Leverage available tools for personal growth and team support.
- Foster a positive team environment and mentor lower-level staff.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of wind industry experience or relevant heavy industrial experience; or 2+ years wind experience with a certificate from a Wind Technician program.
- Internal candidates must complete specific training/certifications within designated timelines.
- Intermediate knowledge of safety protocols (e.g., Confined Space, LOTO).
- Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and tools.
- Valid driver's license; passport preferred.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours.
- Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.

Competencies Required
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 125 meters.
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Perform physical activities including walking, standing, bending, and manual manipulation.
- Work in demanding weather conditions.
- Work remotely in turbines as part of a team.
- Maintain total weight with PPE at or below 300 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software.
- Reliable attendance and a valid driver's license.
