Job summary

Smart City Networks in Miami Beach is seeking an entry-level Technician to join our on-site IT team. You will interact with show and event customers to connect their networks and translate schematics into real-life, well-connected setups.

This role emphasizes hands-on networking support, cable testing, inventory management, and proactive customer service. Travel may be required; background checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with show and event customers to help connect their networks.
• Taking show schematics/ maps and plans and transforming them into real-life, well connected networks.
• Monitoring the inventory and restocking their cart to ensure they have all the tools needed for the customer’s set-up as planned.
• Troubleshooting on the spot issues and pro-actively assisting customers with set-up, maintenance and take- down of installations by color coding and proper testing of copper and fiberoptic cables, installing jumpers and patch cables and providing other technical assistance as trained.

The Smart City Technician is a fun, fast-paced, entry level role for an individual that is a customer service all-star who would like to enter the IT and telecom networking field.
