Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Technician I – Chemical Processing and Materials Quality Control (Weekday Overnight). You will follow SOPs, handle hazardous materials safely, and perform quality control on materials using analytical equipment.

The role requires a lab background, ability to wear a respirator, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-site work with benefits and bonus potential is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 18+ months lab experience, or AA/AS with 1+ year lab experience.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures and protocols.
• Ability to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for formulation, storage, and transport of all mixtures and reagents for production.
• Change waste containers and dispose of hazardous materials per Federal and DOT regulations.
• Use analytical and sample handling equipment to perform quality control on raw materials, mixtures, and formulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for formulation, storage, and transportation of all mixtures and reagents required for production.
• Change waste containers and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with Federal and DOT regulations.
• Use a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment to perform quality control on raw materials, mixtures, and formulations.

Essential Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with 18+ months of lab experience OR Associate of Arts/Science degree with 1+ year lab experience.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures and protocols.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear a full‑face air‑purifying respirator.

Preferred Experience

• Haz‑Woper 24‑hour Technician certification.
• ERP systems experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly range: $23.08 – $30.53. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) plan.
