Key Job Elements

1. Works with new and used railroad bearings;
2. Duties encompass inspecting parts and assembly line type duties to recondition freight car bearings;
3. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts;
4. Ability to work 1st shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) or 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM) with overtime and weekends required.

Education / Training

• High School education or GED required.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Prefer 3-6 months experience as machine operator, will consider equivalent school/training;
2. Must be able to perform quality inspections;
3. Read precision instruments and gauges;
4. Capable use of hand tools;
5. Work around overhead cranes and mobile equipment;
6. Work as an effective team member;
7. Working safely is a condition of employment.
