Job summary

Webb Heating & Air Conditioning, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician in Greensboro, NC. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems with strong customer service and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs are required.

What You Bring

• We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent customer service and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
• 3+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC service (required). - EPA Universal Certification (required). - HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred. - Proficient in diagnosing HVAC equipment and reading wiring diagrams and schematics. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities. - Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems. - Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and system tune‑ups. - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant‑related issues efficiently and accurately. - Recommend repairs, upgrades, or system replacements as needed and explain options to customers clearly. - Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards. - Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and parts usage logs. - Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely and professional service. - Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergency service. - Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and professional appearance.
• Perform initial walk‑through of customer's home or business. Discuss service requirements, timeframes and job cost with the customer. - Produce a highly accurate quote. - Deliver the quote and sign up for a service appointment and help schedule repairs with a technician.
• After installation or maintenance job, hand the system back to the customer, and discuss next steps or arrange future service appointments.
• Ensure the customer well understood - or you are 100% sure they left with an updated understanding of the service that was performed. Follow up with the customer and ask for a 5-star review.
