Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists and support staff in daily operations. You'll greet customers, input prescriptions, count and package meds, and help maintain inventory while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

You'll need a high school diploma or GED and preferably 1 year of pharmacy experience. This role offers on-site work and opportunities to learn across front-end and clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience or training as a technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Learn to independently input patient data and medication orders
  • Count, label, and package prescription drugs and supplies
  • Submit prescriptions for third‑party billing and learn how to trouble‑shoot
  • Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of prescription medications, over‑the‑counter items, and necessary supplies
  • Perform general cleaning and store maintenance: filing paperwork, stocking items, keeping the store clean and professional‑looking
  • Work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services
  • Build relationships with regular customers via in‑person and phone interaction
  • Gain knowledge of commonly prescribed drugs, brand/generic equivalents, and therapeutic classes
  • Gain knowledge about billing third parties and resolving third‑party issues
  • Learn about over‑the‑counter and front‑end departments; basic register functions

Job description

A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting technicians and licensed pharmacists in operating a pharmacy. General duties include greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering and filling prescriptions, and cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy department.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED (required)

Physical Requirements
