Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations while providing exceptional service to patients and customers.

Responsibilities include prescription processing, inventory management, customer support, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and motivated to grow within the pharmacy field.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
  • Count, label, package, and prepare prescription medications.
  • Process and submit prescriptions for third-party insurance billing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting insurance and billing issues.
  • Maintain inventory by ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
  • Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and professional in appearance.
  • File paperwork and assist with general store maintenance tasks.
  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff with patient care services.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and patients.
  • Learn commonly prescribed medications, including brand/generic equivalents and therapeutic classes.
  • Assist customers with over-the-counter products and basic register functions.
