Job summary

Jobtailor in York, PA is seeking an Assist Rental HVAC Field Technician to support installation and repair of environmental control systems on customer sites. You will work with senior technicians, learn testing, startup, and commissioning, and help ensure systems operate safely and reliably.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Assist Rental HVAC Field Technicians with installation and repair of environmental control systems.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests.
Assist with replacement and modification of equipment or systems.
Learn end-to-end testing, startup, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
Serve as direct customer contact while servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
Identify, examine, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
Coordinate with supervising field technician, project manager, and customer on on-site installation and repairs.
Use software, technology, and hand tools to diagnose and repair units.
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.
Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business requires.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required
2+ years of experience in HVAC
Technical school or formal training preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with a handheld computer such as a smartphone or iPad
Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Ability to work overtime and weekends, including occasional overnight stays
Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
