Job summary

Jobtailor in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a seasoned HVAC technician to serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for customers in a defined market. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and startup HVAC systems in commercial settings, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate with team leads and customers to define installation and repair requirements, represent the company on site, and use hand-tools and handheld devices to diagnose and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in HVAC; technical training preferred.
• EPA certification required; valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

• Acts as the primary service and maintenance contact for customers in a defined market


• Commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment


• Coordinates with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs


• Represents the company as the direct customer contact ensuring satisfaction


• Uses software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units


• Maintains flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required


• Typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC


• Technical School or formal training is preferred


• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software


• Working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)


• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations


• EPA Certification
