Setpoint Integrated Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Technician Helper in Lake Charles, LA to assist senior technicians with equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.

This role supports the technical team by preparing tools, materials, and workspaces to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance. You'll perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance under supervision, contribute to productivity, and work collaboratively with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• TWIC and OSHA training preferred.
• Industry-specific certification or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety and quality procedures.
• Operate forklift when certified.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components.
• Return valves/parts to proper bins and boxes.
• Operate equipment (hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch).
• Disassemble valves without damaging parts per manual (when required).
• Document job data and photos as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Assist with field assignments and travel as needed.
• Climb and work at elevations as required; may drive company vehicles.
• Attend job and safety training as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures
• Certified to operate Forklift
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components
• Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)
• May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual
• May be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photos
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain equipment in area, as required
• May be required to help in field assignments
• May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope
• May be required operate motor vehicle
• Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required

Positional Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
• Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
• Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
• Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
• Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
• Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
