Job summary

Valsource in Memphis, TN is seeking a valve components technician to perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of valve parts and to support assembly activities. The role requires forklift certification and the ability to operate various workshop equipment while adhering to safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities include disassembling valves per manuals when needed, documenting work data, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred).
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred).
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures.
• Operate forklift and other equipment as certified.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components.
• Return valves/parts to proper bins and boxes.
• Disassemble valves per manufacturer manuals when required.
• Document and enter job data into databases; take photos as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• May assist in field assignments and travel as needed.

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures
• Certified to operate Forklift
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components
• Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)
• May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer's Installation & Operation Manual
• May be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photos
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain equipment in area, as required
• May be required to help in field assignments
• May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope
• May be required operate motor vehicle
• Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
