Job summary

Setpoint Integrated Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Technician Helper to support senior technicians in equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.

You will prepare tools, materials, and workspaces to help keep projects moving smoothly on-site in Louisiana. Responsibilities include following safety and quality procedures, operating equipment like forklifts, and assisting with valve components cleaning, blasting, and painting, while recording job data and maintaining an organized work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• TWIC preferred.
• OSHA Safety Training preferred.
• Job-specific degree and/or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures.
• Certified to operate Forklift.
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components.
• Return valves/parts to proper bins and boxes.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch).
• Disassemble valve as needed per manual without damaging parts.
• Document and enter job data into applicable database and take photos.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain equipment in the area as required.
• Assist in field assignments as needed.
• Climb and work at various elevations as required by job scope.
• Operate motor vehicle as needed.
• Attend job and safety training as necessary.

Positional Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
• Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
• Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
• Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
• Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
• Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
