Job summary

Setpoint Integrated Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Technician Helper to support senior technicians with equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations. You will prepare tools, materials, and workspaces to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards, while performing basic troubleshooting under supervision.

A proactive, detail-oriented team player is essential. You will assist with material handling, documentation, and difficult tasks, and may travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• TWIC (preferred).
• OSHA Safety Training (preferred).
• Job-specific degree/certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures.
• Certified to operate Forklift.
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components.
• Return valves/parts to proper bins, boxes, etc.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.).
• May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual.
• May be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photos.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain equipment in area, as required.
• May be required to help in field assignments.
• May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope.
• May be required operate motor vehicle.
• Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required.

Positional Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
• Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
• Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, handsand/or fingers
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
• Assessing the accuracy, neatnessand thoroughness of the work assigned
• Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
• Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
• Able to passperiodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
