Job summary

Setpoint-Integrated seeks a Technician Helper to assist senior technicians with equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations. You will prepare tools, materials, and workspaces to sustain efficient workflows and adherence to safety standards.

Under supervision, you will perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks, document job data, and support field assignments. The role requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure successful technical operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• TWIC credential (preferred).
• OSHA safety training (preferred).
• Relevant degree/certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures
• Operate Forklift as certified
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components
• Return valves/parts to correct bins/boxes
• Operate equipment (hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch)
• Disassemble valves per installation/operating manual if required
• Document job data and photos when needed
• Maintain clean, organized work area
• Maintain equipment in the area as required
• Assist in field assignments as needed
• Climb and work at various elevations as required
• Possibly operate a motor vehicle
• Attend safety training as required

Summary:

The Technician Helper assists senior technicians in various tasks, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations. This role involves supporting the technical team by preparing tools, materials, and workspaces, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. The Technician Helper also performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the technical operations. This position requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures
• Certified to operate Forklift
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components
• Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)
• May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual
• May be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photos
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain equipment in area, as required
• May be required to help in field assignments
• May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope
• May be required operate motor vehicle
• Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)

Skills & Abilities

• Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledge

• Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines

Essential Physical Functions:

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
• Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
• Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, handsand/or fingers
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
• Assessing the accuracy, neatnessand thoroughness of the work assigned
• Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
• Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
• Able to passperiodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
