Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to perform routine preventive maintenance across facilities and equipment. You will diagnose issues, manage work orders, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance.

The role requires a Journeyman plumbing license, CDL eligibility, and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint. A 2-year trade program is preferred, with strong teamwork and safety focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in the state where you will be working.
• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program (preferred).
• Intermediate functionality in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (preferred).
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located (preferred).

Job description

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
• Inspect, clean, repair, and document wear and tear
• Gather capital expense information and recommend repair or replacement needs
• Perform major and minor repairs using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment skills
• Diagnose issues using inspections, testing, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
• Dismantle equipment and remove defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and document repair activities
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors
• Order parts and replacement equipment, track orders, record purchases and usage, and submit warranty claims
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulations
• Ensure contractors meet Walmart quality, safety, and contract requirements
• Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities
• Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
• Develop and implement processes and practices by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners
• Monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and support compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards
