Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to perform preventive and reactive repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related systems. You will use hand and power tools, follow work orders, and document activities.

This on-site role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and pass required training. Prior Walmart store experience or 1 year in a related trade is preferred.

Qualifications

At least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Perform primary responsibilities under the direct supervision of an experienced technician
Follow established schedules and guidelines for inspections, cleaning, and repairs

Requirements

At least 18 years old
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
Option 1: 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
Option 2: 2 years' Walmart store experience
Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
Ability to move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Ability to work in various temperatures
Must maintain an excellent driving record
Must complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
