Walmart is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Dallas to perform preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment, diagnose issues, and lead maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

2 years of experience in the electrical trade
Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in the state where working
Valid driver's license
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program (preferred)
Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (preferred)
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located (preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
Inspect, clean, repair, and document wear and tear
Gather capital expense information and recommend repairs or replacements
Perform major and minor repairs using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material-handling equipment, and food-equipment skills
Diagnose issues using inspections, testing, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
Dismantle equipment and facilities to access defective parts
Respond promptly to emergency calls
Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors
Complete expense vouchers, summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs
Order, track, store, and transport parts and replacement equipment
Submit warranty claims and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations
Ensure contractors meet Walmart quality, safety, and contract requirements
Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
Develop and implement processes and practices to meet business needs
Monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and address deficiencies
Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards
