Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Overview

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment supporting our stores. Responsibilities include developing maintenance schedules, completing assigned preventive maintenance tasks, and training store associates on equipment care and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Carry out routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules, documenting activities through required reports and logs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related fields.
• Strong customer service skills with clear, respectful communication.
• Effective time management and personal accountability.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience.
