About the Role

The Lube and Tire Technician, or General Service Tech, is an entry-level automotive technician position designed to kickstart your career at Monro. You will undergo comprehensive training from day one, performing maintenance services on guest vehicles as part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

1. Change, mount, and install tires
2. Perform wheel removal, tire repair, balancing, and patching/plugging
3. Conduct quick lube duties such as lubrication and oil changes
4. Inspect and rotate tires
5. Perform basic automotive maintenance like battery installation
6. Receive training to perform alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance

Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $19.00, depending on experience, with additional incentives available.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Automotive experience
• Own basic mechanic tools or participate in our tool purchase program
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 18 years old
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work overhead, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive technician or tire experience
