Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled technician to tear down, diagnose, and repair hydraulic components. You will operate drill presses, lathes, and other machinery, read schematics, and use hydraulic test equipment to evaluate performance.

The role requires strong MS Office skills for documenting repairs and communicating results. The work is onsite, with responsibilities spanning component assembly and parts coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience teardown and evaluation of repair components.
• Ability to read schematics/diagrams/blueprints.
• Experience operating hydraulic test equipment and measuring devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Tear down and evaluate components sent in for repair.
• Operate hand/power tools and machining equipment.
• Read schematics/diagrams/blueprints.
• Operate hydraulic test equipment including flow meters and data acquisition.
• Test hydraulic systems and troubleshoot circuits.
• Operate test stands and communicate with vendors for parts and service.
• Assemble hydraulic components.
• Document repairs using Excel and Word; email documents via Outlook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hydraulic test equipment operation, including flow meters, data acquisition, multimeter, calibrators
• Testing hydraulic systems
• Troubleshooting circuits
• Test stand operation
• Vendor communication for parts and service
• Component assembly
• Hydraulic component failure analysis
• Working with Microsoft Office programs
• Quoting repairs in Excel and Word
• Emailing documents in Outlook
• Other duties as assigned
