  • Repairs pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Tear down pumps, motors, and valves for repair and identify parts.
  • Build new pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Assist in machine shop as needed.
  • Test completed units per procedures.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts and equipment.
  • Record parts and materials required and request replacements.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly shop.
  • Aid in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Job description

Position Summary

Assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, and valves. Diagnose problems and identify parts needed to repair. Test all items, perform work in both shop and field environment.


Essential Functions


  • Repairs pumps, motors, and valves.

  • Tear down pumps, motors, and valves for repair. Identify parts needed to repair.

  • Build new pumps, motors, and valves.

  • Assist in machine shop as needed.

  • Test completed pumps, motors, and valves according to written procedures.

  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

  • Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials, as necessary.

  • Maintain a neat and orderly shop.

  • Aid in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.

  • Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.

  • Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.


Position Qualifications- Skills and Abilities

Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:



  • Hands on mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task.

  • Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

  • Ability to make decisions while following company procedures.

  • Keep management apprised of work and backlog.

  • Ability to use cranes, and other heavy and light machines, and equipment.



  • High School Graduate or GED required.



  • Three years mechanic experience.

  • Hydraulic experience preferred



  • ISO Training, Safety Training, Product Training, Maintenance, Quality Training, Forklift Training, Cylinder Repair, Honing, Lathe Operation, Test Stand Operation, Drill Press Operation, Vertical Mill Operation
