Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies seeks a skilled technician to assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, and valves in our New Orleans area shop and field environments. You will diagnose problems, identify parts, test items, and support installation and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Candidate should have hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, safety focus, and ability to work with cranes and shop equipment; three years of mechanic experience required,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of mechanic experience.
• Hydraulic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs pumps, motors, and valves.
• Tear down pumps, motors, and valves for repair.
• Build new pumps, motors, and valves.
• Assist in machine shop as needed.
• Test completed pumps, motors, and valves according to written procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
• Aid in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.

Essential Functions

• Repairs pumps, motors, and valves.
• Tear down pumps, motors, and valves for repair. Identify parts needed to repair.
• Build new pumps, motors, and valves.
• Assist in machine shop as needed.
• Test completed pumps, motors, and valves according to written procedures.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials, as necessary.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
• Aid in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
• Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.
