Job summary

Chamberlain Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on loading dock equipment, HVAC and facility systems. You will replace and repair warehouse infrastructure, ensure safety systems compliance, and support general building tasks on-site.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and drywall, plus 2–5 years in preventive and general maintenance. Forklift and lift experience, plus reading blueprints, are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5–7 years of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and drywall experience.
  • 2–5 years of preventative maintenance experience.
  • 2–5 years of general building maintenance experience.
  • Electric forklift and scissor lift experience.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and weekend/off-shift availability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on loading dock equipment and facility systems.
  • Replace and repair warehouse infrastructure, including racking and decking.
  • Ensure safety systems compliance and maintain fire suppression and access systems.
  • Assist with moving equipment, general errands, and basic electrical/plumbing work.
  • Design tooling to increase productivity and coordinate with contractors.
  • Conduct regular building tours and address maintenance needs with management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on but not limited to loading dock equipment, evaporative coolers, package conveyors, facility pump house, and mobile hydraulic tools
  • Replace and repair warehouse infrastructure such as racking uprights, carton flow racks, racking beams, and decking
  • Ensure compliance of safety and security systems by maintaining fire suppression system, safety lights, fire extinguishers, external and internal facility access systems
  • Prioritize daily maintenance duties and a variety of general services including but not limited to setting up or breaking down of equipment, moving furniture, general errands and basic electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation, roofing and painting
  • Design and construct tooling and fixtures in order to increase productivity and implement new procedures
  • Conduct regular building tours, inspections, identifying needs and executing corrective action and/or coordinating with management and outside contractors

This position requires regular and predictable on-site attendance and the ability to work the particular shift and/or schedule to which you are assigned, as well as additional hours as needed.

Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 5-7 years of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and drywall experience
  • 2-5 years of using preventative maintenance practices
  • 2-5 years of general building maintenance experience
  • Electric forklift and scissor lift experience
  • General electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment and systems
  • Understand and be able to use and interpret construction drawings & specifications
  • Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of general workplace safety procedures
  • Ability to assemble furniture with hand or power tools
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; ability to work weekend and off-shift hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Warehouse and/or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Security and SAP Emaint or other preventative maintenance software experience
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • HVAC skills

The pay range for this position is $16.88 - $24.23/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
