Job summary

Thanksgiving Point Institute is seeking an Exhibit Technician to maintain, repair, and develop exhibits that form the core guest experience. This full-time role offers daytime hours, occasional evenings or Saturdays, and a benefits package. You will learn something new daily while ensuring high safety and quality standards.

You will manage multiple projects, create maintenance schedules, and coordinate with teams to deliver engaging exhibits that align with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to create and adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and fabrication of custom items.
• Skilled in use of shop and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently as a critical team member.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with people.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Pass a background check.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and development of exhibit components and other projects as assigned.
• Create and execute maintenance schedules and programs for exhibits and exhibitions.
• Organize and execute multiple simultaneous projects with minimal oversight by prioritizing work and handling interruptions.
• Coordinate physical set-up requirements and service needs.
• Read, execute, and create shop drawings and support materials.
• Assist with unloading, unpacking, installation, dismantling of exhibitions.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values, and Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Exhibit Technician Job Description

Wage: $15-17/hour

Shift: Full time. Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm. May include Saturday and evening shifts.
